a sixth grade math teacher can grade 15 homework assignments in 24 minutes if he works at the same rate how long should it take him to grade 36 homework assignment
Ok so we know 15=24 min and then we know he needs to grade 36 assignments so we can do 15 2x because 15+15=30 then we would have 6 assignments left over but we can do what we already have which is 48 cause 15=24 min so then we do 24+24 cause it’s 15 2x and then we get 48 min with 30 assignments done then we move on to 6 assignments which we have no minutes for so we need to find it so we can do;
1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 And 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 And then count by 2 min and cross out 1 assignments each time and then would be 1=2 min 2= 4 min 3=6 min 4= 8 min 5= 10 and 6= 12 min so 6 assignments would be 12 min for 6 assignments so then we do 24-12 and we get 12 so then we do 48+12= 60 and 60 min= an 1 hr so he takes about 1 he to grade the assignments
