5x - 11y = 89 . . . . . . . . (2)
(1) - (2): 7x = -14
x = -2
From (1): 12(-2) - 11y = 75
-24 - 11y = 75
-11y = 75 + 24 = 99
y = -9
Therefore, x = -2 and y = -9
